BENEFITS
PROCESS
Corticeira Amorim is the largest cork transformation group in the world. Founded in 1870, from very early on the company has perceived the infinite potential of this 100% natural raw material, transforming it into an object of choice in the context of an open, curious, awakened, informed and prosperous society.
With the support of OSI (Corticeira Amorim’s shared services), this training includes the survey, analysis, validation and hands-on development of 3 processes (one for each business unit).
Amorim is the 6th company to do training with ARPA, the others were B2B Shared Services (Trivalor Group), Ageas Portugal and Rangel with the objective of forming a CoE. And in a smaller and more informal version Delta Cafés and JM in Poland.
CHALLENGE
The partnership between Corticeira Amorim and ARPA was formed due to the global RPA project, which is part of the “Business Process Optimization” axis of Corticeira Amorim’s digital transformation program, which includes business units with different stages of maturity regarding to RPA. The goal of this digital transformation program is to maximize the potential and benefits that digital technologies can bring to the different business units, more specifically in terms of automation, where the focus is on reducing the time needed to perform tasks where humans do not add value, thus allowing all employees to focus on other types of work with added value.
SOLUTION
In response to a request from Corticeira Amorim, in order to accelerate the technical training of the client, to set up and support a future Centre of Excellence in RPA, this training is born. A specialized consultancy and technical support, which aims to transfer both ARPA’s knowledge in the area, and the best practices for survey, analysis, validation, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, operation and daily monitoring of RPA. This training includes 10 sessions interspersed on RPA, where 20% of the time will be know-how transfer and 80% hands-on training divided into analysis and development/implementation. The content goes through how to implement under ARPA iMaestro guidance, code enrichment to strengthen KPis dashboards and at the end of the training the processes are real cases put into production.
